5Out Solutions harnesses technology to predict restaurant sales by the hour, 21 days ahead, enabling optimal labor and purchasing decisions. As a senior product designer, I collaborated with 5Out to craft an intuitive interface, ensuring that restaurants could seamlessly translate these predictions into actionable insights and efficient operations.
Problem
Despite the immense predictive power that 5Out Solutions provides, there existed a challenge: How do we present a plethora of data – ranging from hourly sales predictions to detailed purchasing recommendations – in a manner that's easily digestible and, importantly, actionable for restaurant owners? The design had to be intuitive and effective, especially when considering the diverse user base, from restaurant managers to owners of large restaurant chains.
Results
From its inception in 2021, my collaboration with 5Out Solutions has steered the platform from a conceptual phase to a prominent tool for over 200 restaurants. The impact of our design journey can be summarized as follows:
- Initial Launch: Crafted the platform's first iteration from a blank canvas, setting a strong foundation for future enhancements.
- User Growth: Played a pivotal role in scaling the platform from its debut to now serving over 200 restaurants.
- Iterative Improvements: Introduced consistent design enhancements addressing evolving user needs, ensuring ease of use and efficient adaptability.
